My name is Tom Tompkins. I grew up in Cambridge and have been in the area all my life. I now live in Elk River and love it.
As a child, my mom and dad would always take me along with my two brothers camping. We spent a lot of time camping with my cousins at state parks – Sibley, St. Croix and Itasca. I have two great children, Andrew is 29 and Angela is 28, that make me very proud.
We kept the camping tradition going by going to a lot of the same parks when they were three and two years old. After several years we had a trailer on the east side of Mille Lacs Lake. We were there until just two years ago and now go camping at Pokegama Lake by Pine City.
I have been in sales for over 20 years and love what I do. I look forward to helping you find the camper that works for you and keep the good times rolling.
Camping up in the Ottertail area about nine years ago, I my brother John and good friend Mark had been out fishing and brought in several crappies and nice size perch. We were all in the fish cleaning house cleaning the fish.
I am cleaning and John packing them up and John says where are all the fish and I look over and Mark is eating them as fast as I could clean them. Not much left for shore lunch.
